Welcome to Lake Norman Dyslexia where we specialize in reading, math, and ADD. At Lake Norman Dyslexia, we understand that every learner is unique, and that includes those with dyslexia and dyscalculia. Our program helps students with dyslexia unlock their full potential by offering personalized tutoring that builds confidence and success in reading, writing, and comprehension.

Specialized Expertise
With years of experience working with students of all ages, we specialize in dyslexia and learning differences. Our program is tailored to visual and spacial learners taking a unique approach that helps them understand how their brain works. Students with dyslexia form a mental image of every word they read (picture-thinkers). Blanks start forming when they encounter words that have no mental image for them. (of, is, the, was, that) After a student comes across several of these words, they lose their focus and the passage they are reading has no meaning (lack of reading comprehension). These words act as road blocks forming sentence fragments within a sentence.
Individualized Approach
No two students are the same. We tailor our tutoring sessions to meet the specific needs of each student, using multisensory techniques and structured programs that address their challenges and capitalize on their strengths.
Supportive Learning Environment
We create a positive, nurturing space where students feel safe to take risks and learn at their own pace. Our goal is to help them develop not just academic skills, but also self-esteem and a love for learning.
